Is Ethereum (ETH) on the verge of a historic rally—or a painful crash? According to pseudonymous market analyst Weslad, the answer could lie in a massive technical pattern years in the making.
The Bullish Outlook: Breakout to $6K?
Weslad believes Ethereum is nearing the end of a long-term ABCDE wave structure within a symmetrical pennant—a pattern known for leading to sharp price movements. Currently, ETH is testing the upper boundary of this formation at wave D, a potential launch point.
Adding to the bullish case, Weslad points to a developing Inverse Head and Shoulders (IH&S) pattern on the daily chart. The key neckline resistance is sitting around $2,855—a level that, if broken, could unlock a powerful upward move.
“A confirmed breakout above the neckline [$2,855] would likely validate both the IH&S and the breakout from wave D,” Weslad stated, “setting the stage for a potential expansion move toward the $6,000 target and beyond.”
Experts Agree: Ethereum Could Soar
Weslad isn’t alone in his bold forecast. Market strategist Jeremy Fielder echoed similar optimism, predicting Ethereum could reach $6,500 by year-end, with a longer-term target of $10,000 in early 2026.
“We’re looking at $6,500 Ethereum by the end of the year,” Fielder said in a recent video on X. “Regulation is now pro-crypto. That’s all you need to know.”
He points to increased Web3 adoption and improving regulatory sentiment as key catalysts.
Meanwhile, analyst Titan of Crypto takes a more conservative, yet still bullish stance, calling for a move to $4,100. His thesis hinges on ETH reclaiming its weekly trading range and building momentum toward the upper boundary.
Bearish Risks: $1,800 Still in Play?
Despite the bullish buzz, Weslad also cautions about a potential downside. If Ethereum fails to break above the $2,855 resistance or gets rejected at the top of the pennant, a pullback into wave E could take ETH as low as $1,800—a 40% drop from current levels.
He warns of a possible retracement into a “high-confluence demand zone” between $1,400 and $1,800, highlighting the stakes of the upcoming price action.
Bottom Line: Will Ethereum Price Hit $6K This Year? Experts Weigh In—and while the bulls are loud and confident, the risks remain real. Whether ETH breaks out or breaks down may soon be revealed as critical resistance levels are tested.
